Have a happy weekend

Early arrival on site. Northants DA weekend sites are normally available from 4pm. However most weekends the site is opened at lunchtime on Friday with the stewards permission. Before arriving early please check, either with the steward or with one of the contacts published in the 'Out and About'

All visitors must report to the site steward immediately on arrival at the site.

Please remember the 20 foot rule. This is the minimum separating distance between units. There is normally ample room at our weekend meets for campers to spread themselves a little more generously. No units may be left unattended overnight.

Generators: The following has been agreed throughout our Club. "Campers may only use generators with the stewards permission. If a complaint is received or the steward considers it to be causing a nuisance then he may ask the camper to stop using it."

When you wash or fill your toilet, it should not be done directly from the drinking water tap. Either a hole is dug, or a manhole is lifted for you to empty your toilet. Waste water should normally be emptied in the hedge bottom, please do not allow it to drain on to the grass.

Children and adults should play games away from the tents and caravans. This applies especially to ball games and throwing "Frisbees".

All vehicles -including cycles - should keep their speed down to 5mph. It may be your child or grandchild that runs out in front of you and breaking is much slower on grass. No vehicles to be driven on the site between 11pm and 7am

If you have pets please ensure that it does not cause annoyance in any way to other campers. Farm buildings and farm implements are normally out of bounds.

For information

All adults camping at DA meets must be Camping club members. Children camping must be with their parents or grandparents. Non family children, i.e. friends, must be CCY members

Camping fees are published in the calendar pages

No visitors fees are payable but the Steward would be pleased to accept a donation to our charity

Coffee mornings will normally be held on the first Sunday in the month, Bank Holidays and Special weekends.

The marquee will usually be erected each weekend except when we can use a barn, clubhouse or local hall. This is for the use of all campers. Do not wait to be asked, just bring your chairs and refreshments. There are a few simple rules - No smoking - No pointed heel shoes - No bug candles - No pets. We also ask if you bring in a gas fire you also bring an appropriate fire extinguisher.

Young campers are welcome to pitch their tent in the Youth area. However, if they are cooking the 20 foot rule also applies to them. Please remember - the children you bring with you are your responsibility at all times, so please ensure you know where they are and what they are doing. A tuck shop is usually available for all to use. Proceeds are used for the children's activities.

A lot of our rules are the same as for any other countryside user, so they won't be unfamiliar to even a novice camper

Guard against all risk of fire - permission should be given by the camp steward before a barbeque is used.
For safety, a bucket of water should be placed outside every unit

Keep your dogs under close control - Pets should be kept on a short lead when on campsite
Always clear up after your pet

One of the joys of camping is walking in the countryside -Keep to public paths across farm land - - Use gates and stiles to cross fences hedges and walls. Fasten all gates. Respect livestock, crops and machinery - ensure that children keep a safe distance from the same

Take your litter home. There is not usually any provision made for disposing of litter in the countryside or at a weekend meet.

Make no unnecessary noise - Remember there should be no noises that would disturb your camping neighbours or the local community. Between 11pm and 7am = All quiet
